Emmy Award-winning television producer and author currently show-running and developing investigative projects with A+E Networks and other clients. Miguel's long-running series The Proof Is Out There has been renewed for multiple seasons and its latest episodes are currently airing on The History Channel. He has also produced several specials for NewsNation.

Miguel's latest book, "Evidence of the Extraordinary," will be published by Simon & Schuster on May 5, 2026. His first book, "More Than You Can Handle: A Rare Disease, A Family in Crisis, And the Cutting-Edge Medicine that Cured the Incurable" was published by Penguin Random House in March 2021.

Miguel is adept at managing large projects and staff, delivering superb content on time and on budget. He has more than 20 years of experience at national news broadcasts working with top talent on high-profile, legally sensitive long-term projects as well as live breaking news specials. For seven years he helped run the ABC primetime news magazine 20/20, managing content, staff, and budgets while enterprising original story ideas and show concepts. Prior to that he was an investigative producer at 20/20 and CBS News' 48 Hours.

He has deep industry knowledge and an excellent record of idea generation, writing and editing, cinematic video shooting, and project management, often under extremely tight deadlines. He is also exceptionally skilled at turning around troubled projects and resolving crises in the field, the edit room, or on the page. His areas of interest range from business and consumer reporting to criminal justice to politics. He has extensive international reporting experience in Latin America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, and can converse, conduct business, or at least survive in four languages. He also has a passion for - and fluency with - data and statistics.
